| Applicition | Corn is sown under no‑tillage mode. Corn plants grow tall, especially summer-sown corn in the Huang-Huai-Hai Region. In the later growth stage of corn in this region, the rainy season brings soft topsoil, making corn prone to lodging. No-tillage sowing can effectively resist lodging.
Soybean is sown with rotary tillage. Due to narrow row spacing, soybean seeding is easily clogged by weeds, straws and root stubbles, which is particularly severe in double-cropping summer-sown areas of the Huang-Huai-Hai Region. Disc openers can solve clogging issues, yet they have poor soil penetration capacity, so rotary tillage is required prior to ditching. Soybean and corn have different nutrient requirements for chemical fertilizers. The fertilizer box is internally partitioned to separate corn and soybean fertilizers. Meanwhile, two independent fertilizer-adjusting systems are adopted to increase fertilizer application rate for corn. This machine has a working width of 2.5 meters, with four rows of soybeans in the middle and one row of corn on each side. |
